Post subject:  I'm selling my Coupe

Hi folks,

I'm selling my coupe as I have other projects going on in life at the moment and need to make some space.

I've been on this forum nearly 10 years! and I'm sad to say I have met almost none of you, as the coupe didn't get much use in the time I owned it.

The only member I did meet was Dave W? who came down to do some work on the brakes for me.

Here are some details - with links to photos at the bottom of the page.

I'm after 6K for the car, but am open to offers if anyone would like to view it.

Bought in 2015 with approx 47k on the clock, this 406 coupe, D8 (194 bhp V6) in Ariane Blue had just two previous owners, making myself the third.

The car was already in really good condition, but needed some minor cosmetic work doing to give it a real edge.

I replaced the passenger air bag cover (these get distorted from sun damage) had the bolster of the driver seat re-trimmed (these are prone to wear) replaced the gear knob with original factory chrome knob, had the alloy wheels refurbed to original spec. and replaced centre caps with originals from Peugeot (the colour match is absolutely spot on), replaced damaged off-side wing mirror and replaced auto dimming rear-view mirror.

The 406 coupe club online forum is a godsend, and has almost all the info you could ever need to carry out all sorts of minor (and major) repairs to the car yourself.

To finish, in 2016, White Details did a full exterior detail of the car which you can see on his website - See here - (https://www.whitedetails.co.uk/portfoli ... 406-coupe/). On completion of this, the paintwork looked absolutely stunning, and still does, almost 10 years later. I detailed the interior myself, which included treating the leather seats. It is practically flawless.

As already stated, I bought the car with approx 47k on the clock, and in 9 years have covered under 7k miles in it (It now sits at 53,721k, making this a really low mileage example).

The car has been garaged throughout its entire time with me, and only been driven on dry days.

The car is mechanically sound, and all the electrics work, including the original radio and 6 disc CD changer in the boot.

The car is now 25 years old, so naturally shows signs of paint damage, stone chips, some light scratches and dings. That said, the car looks absolutely stunning for its age, is a fantastic motorway cruiser, with plenty of oomph for effortless overtaking, and is a real pleasure to drive.

For the last few years, the car has been SORN, but has just had a full service, new cambelt kit and fresh MOT (expires

12/06/25). The work was carried out by a Peugeot Master Technician at SPANNERWORX in Rugby.

It’s a reluctant sale, as I’ve never really had much time behind the wheel of this one, but new ventures in life mean I need to free up some garage space and cash!
