Really sad to be having to sell my Peugeot 406 Coupe 2.2 Hdi Manual “S” Trim Level

I've owned this car since 2008 (16 years) and it’s been pretty much faultless. It has covered 176,000 miles.

As you can see from the photos it’s in really great condition for a 22 year old car and it has 9 months MOT (to April 2025).

Car located in Wimborne, Dorset near Bournemouth. (UK)

Good points:
Serviced regularly (annually) with much record in service book and bills etc.
Great condition for year (for a 22 year old car, obviously not 100 percent perfect).
Brembo Brakes
Interior exceptionally clean.
No dashboard warning lights on (except for fuel filler flap open)
No rust (except surface rust near handle on rear edge of drivers door approx 50p size)
Many newish parts (new ball joint 2024, centre and rear exhaust 2022, boot lid gas struts 2022, Exide battery 2019, Cambelt and Waterpump 2019 (145k miles), etc)
Everything not listed below in the “Bad Points” section works, so things like Cruise Control, Elec Mirrors, Elec Windows, Auto Wipers, Auto Lights all work.
A lot of history and bills included.
The “famous” electrical connector under the drivers carpet has been fixed and made secure so that is a big job done and sorted.

Bad points:
Air conditioning not currently working, presume it is a re-gas required but not sure.
Rear Bumper cracked in several places (this should be visible on photos, will either need repair or replacement at some point, but it will pass the MOT as it is) - replacements available online for £100-130 ish.
Drivers seat back tilt release (to gain access to rear seat) broken. All seat adjustment for comfortable driving position fully working. Can use passengers side to access rear (safer too!).

Its a lovely car, gets a lot of nice comments, and is a great colour. I really wanted to keep it, but I needed to change to a ULEZ car as I regularly have to drive into the London ULEZ zone. Until last week I regularly drove it 90 miles at a time and it’s very reliable and comfortable. Also gets great fuel economy.

I know its not worth a fortune, but I'd rather it went to an enthusiast who will keep it and use it rather than just trade it in where it will go to an auction or a scrapper....

I’m looking for around £1250, I believe it’s definitely one of the better examples out there of what is becoming a very rare car. I'm willing to talk seriously about price to anyone who wants to enjoy and care for and keep this on the road!
