My friendly mechanic has asked me to try to source one of these urgently - to replace the existing rusty one which will not get through my MOT due next week. Can anyone help or advise, please ? He says the strap/bracket has 3 mounting points and is covered in a sort of plastic film.
Many thanks for any assistance.

Mine was also flagged up as being rusty on a MOT, two years ago - But not this year....!!

Anyone got any experience of fitting a replacement..?

There are two straps, one on the left side and a different one on the right side. Which one do you need?

Sandblasted & resprayed, the set that was on the car was too far gone to do anything with.

I am hopeful that if you are unable to source one in decent shape that a decent fabrication company could make one up. I have used agricultural ones before to good effect as farming folk love a 'bodge' to save a few quid! :friends:
