Post subject:  X-reg Sept 2000 V6 SE coupe - for spares or repair - UPDATE

UPDATE - if anyone interested, it's yours for £200 (parts alone worth much more)
CORRECTION - it was the front bumper not the bonnet that was replaced 2 years ago (apologies for my error)
ADDITIONALLY - rear subframe was replaced 2 years ago (thanks to Ade Bingham !)
For quick sale to any enthusiast ... my polaris blue coupe since 2013 (and owned previously by two club members). Odometer reading 139k miles due to replacing BSI but has covered only approx 110k - and only 10k in past 9 years, though driven regularly. Taxed, MoT due 7 March. Last serviced 30/9/24 - good service record. Clutch/cambelt/water pump/starter motor/exhaust replaced within past few thousand miles - and rear tyres last year. Bonnet and front offside wing replaced 2 years ago after very low-speed impact.
Decent condition outside and in (rear seats - in black - hardly touched) but needs a general tidy-up. The bad news ...
Cylinder 4 misfiring - will need at least a new coil
Catalyst system efficiency - banks 1 and 2 - below threshold.
Battery (newish) losing charge quite rapidly - may stem from repair to passenger door electric window.
Minor cracking at foot of front windscreen.
Some suspension creaks/clonks
In view of above, some (probably expensive) work would be required to pass MoT - I've decided that's not for me - so will make arrangement to scrap the car to a car breaker unless someone wants to buy it 'for spares or repair'. Would much rather see it go to someone on this Forum rather than a carbreaker - especially as my local one told me they 'would only want it for the tyres' and would just get rid of the remainder !
Any 'better than scrap' offer welcome (scrap value is VERY modest) but buyer would need to collect in the next week or so from South Devon and drive it away.
Thanks for reading this - PM or email me if interested.
