D8 V6 for sale. Ariane Blue. 1999 T reg.

Location: Leeds
MOT expiry: Jan 2025
Bought in 2019 with 120k on the clock and is now on 154k, so I've added 34k in 5 years.
Only selling because I need a four door car, otherwise would keep indefinitely.

Good points:
Daily runner that has always driven beautifully.
Lots of service history, with myself and previous owner keeping up to it and using E5 fuel.
Only the very small patch of rust commonly found under the driver's wing mirror, otherwise solid bodywork.
Seats and carpets in good condition.

Bad points:
Mild judder on steering column under medium braking conditions. Has been discussed here and, if I were keeping it, I'd get Budweg calipers and sell the Brembos as they're likely to need a refurb. Doesn't affect braking performance and it's been an issue on and off for a couple of years. Might just need new flexi hoses but wouldn't want to deliberately undersell the issue.
In the same spirit, air con doesn't work and it's not just that it needs a regas. There's a leak somewhere.
Stereo doesn't work and it's 99% the head unit. Amp and CD changer probably fine.
Moderate lacquer peel on the roof.
Couple of smallish scuffs on the bumpers.
Very small power steering fluid leak. I've had to top it up twice in 5 years but it's the oil leak that shows up on the MOT history. Hasn't even left a mark on the driveway.
Timing belt needs doing at 195k or in 2027 under light usage, or now if you plan heavy usage.
Door cards need to be more securely attached, although it's not like they're coming off. A few removals and refittings due to changing the window mechanisms have left them attached by the screws and only about half the clips.

If you've got a donor car but not a main one then this would be ideal as it runs great and with the exception of the brakes, the other flaws are minor. I've tried to be 100% honest as that was how it was sold to me when I got it. £700, but can talk about price with anyone who wants to keep it on the road. It deserves it as it really does drive great.

Cheers,

Phil
