Due to my daily commute (of 140m) not being compatible with owning a petrol powered car anymore, I have decided to put up my 406 coupe for sale. The car has covered 182K and has a valid MOT until 14/03/2020. I have owned the car since 2014 and it never let me down in the time I owned it.

The car is a D8.5 V6 SE manual, Galileo green with Tan interior with sunroof.

The bodywork in great condition. The front bumper has no cracks, the rear has a crack but is still complete (see pictures for details). The front of the car (bonnet+bumper) has suffered from stone chips and could benefit from a respray. The alloys are in great conditions with minimal scuffs etc. There is a little bit of clear coat peeling on the bonnet.

Mechanically, Engine runs smooth and returns an average 30-35mpg. I use the car mainly on motorways and A-roads, and this can be thirstier in town. I have changed the clutch, main oil seal, diff seal, pressure bearing etc.) less than two years ago (the car had 172K then). I have also changed the cambelt, water pump, tensioner and engine mount in June 2015 (at about 160K). I service the car using the recommended Total semi-synth oil every year / 10,000 miles.

In terms of equipment, everything works as intended with the exception of the AirCon (the system is not gassed up and may have a leak, I never checked) and the driver heated seat (only the heating function, the seat moves, reclines etc.) as normal. The interior is in great condition too. The driver seat piping has however started to wear, that being said the leather/trim etc. is in very good condition.

I have had a stainless steel exhaust fitted, which I specified to be very quiet, as I only wanted a system that was going to last rather than a loud exhaust. The system looks OEM too. The car is barely audible at idle, and there is no drone at any speed.

The car comes with an 11 month MOT and 4 new tyres (2 fitted less than 3,000 miles ago, 2 fitted during MOT).

I am looking at £500. Viewing can be arranged by phone 07910386160 and collection can be made either in west wales (west of Swansea) or Bristol.
